Do you wait until you have a cavity to go to the dentist? Well, maintaining your carpets is very similar to making regular visits to the dentist to maintain your teeth. It’s not something we look forward to, but a little preventative maintenance will allow you to get much longer life out of them! Don’t get me wrong, things will happen through the course of our daily lives such as spills, pet accidents, etc. (get our Free spot cleaning chart at the bottom of our Home page), but if you have your carpets cleaned on a regular basis, you have just increased the likelihood of adding several more years to the life of your carpets.
How often should you clean your carpets? Well, there is really no one answer for this; however, the below chart will provide you with a general guideline on how often your carpets should be cleaned:
How often should you clean your carpet?
- 2-Adult non -smokers – Every 8-12 months
- 2-Adult smokers – Every 4-6 months – Assuming smoking is in indoors
